Quienes somos

With roots going back to the 1870s when our founder E.J. Brooks transitioned from being a lead toy maker in New York City to the first security seal manufacturer in America, we have been committed to producing competitively priced, high quality, customizable security seals with the shortest lead times and an unwavering commitment to customer service. Since this time, we have expanded our product offerings and geographically, most recently adding Tamper-Evident Bags, RFID and GPS Technology Seals and are now the global security seal leader with offices in four continents and partners in many more; providing peace of mind security solutions and continuing to “Lead the Way and Secure the World.”

Nuestra historia

  1. 1870s
    1870: EJ Brooks se convirtió en el sucesor de una compañía de juguetes, que cambió el nombre de EJ Brooks and Company.

  2. Early 1900s

  3. 1940s
    1941: During WWII, after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Brooks Company rose in importance through the distribution of their oldest product: The Lead and Wire Seal. This seal was used to secure Allied and American Forces ammunition boxes.

  4. 1950s

    Late 1950s: One of Brooks major efforts was gaining the poultry seal business. Seals were lithographed in color to customer specifications and attached to chicken wings.
  5. 1960s
    1964: The industry's first self-locking (no-tool application) Plastic Padlock Seal was introduced. The Brooks plastic padlock seal went on to be the industry standard for the next 30 plus years, undergoing at least 17 product improvements each of which contributed to utility meter sealing and efficiency.
    The 1960s saw the introduction of Plastic seals. Plastic seals were a hard sell in the beginning and a slow transition from metal. Plastic seals are now some of the top selling seals in the security industry, offering a cost effective way to provide tamper evidence.
  6. 1970s
    The 1970s saw the growth of Plastic security seals driven by the GripLock Coin Bag seal, the Poly Lok Door seal for trucks and containers, and the Pull-Tite for properly inspecting fire extinguishers.

    1985: E.J .Brooks Industries Ltd. incorporates in Canada.
    1986: E.J. Brooks (Europe) Limited is established.
    1987: Brooks introduces barcoded seals.
    Mid 1980s: The company Slim Jim sales catalog was published that featured employees as Our Most Valuable Asset. Today we feel just as strongly about this sentiment!
    1989: Sigurd M. Moberg nombrado presidente emérito de EJ Brooks, después de 62 años con la compañía. Trabajó su camino a través de la empresa y es responsable de la GripLock Coin Bag, Plastic Padlock y Pull-Tite Seal patentes.
  8. 1990s

    1998: The Brooks barcoded Enduro Seal is introduced. A long lasting acrylic seal with a vinyl barcode.
  9. 2000s
    2009: Tyden merges with EJ Brooks, the leading provider of plastics-based indicative seals utilities security solutions, to form TydenBrooks Security Products Group.
    2010: TydenBrooks merges with Stoffel Seals Corporation Canada Mayer.
    2014: TydenBrooks wins the Accolades Peoples Choice Award at the ASIS convention.
    2015: TydenBrooks launches Web Stock products that ship in just 2 business days.
    2016: TydenBrooks adds to laser marking seals and 2D barcoding capabilities.
    2017: TydenBrooks launches improved comprehensive e-commerce website, continuing to Lead the Way. Secure the World.
